About Bambo Nature made in Denmark
Bambo Nature - because we care
Our story
For more than 40 years, Bambo Nature products have been developed and manufactured by ABENA, a family-owned company (third generation as of this writing) headquartered in Denmark. We develop and produce skin-friendly nappies and baby products for families all over the world.
You can find traces of our Nordic heritage in every product we create – in our designs, as well as the ingredients and materials we use. Bambo Nature was the first baby nappy in the world to earn the esteemed Nordic Swan Ecolabel certifications.
Today, our family of baby care products includes not only disposable nappies, pants, and wipes, but also a skin care line that is safe for your baby and the rest of your family.
Our commitment
Each Bambo Nature product is designed to give you comfort and safety by using quality ingredients and materials. Most importantly, our products have proven to be as strong and effective as they are safe.
Our Bambo Nature baby care products have earned the highest level of credentials, awards, and ecolabels in the world. We believe that choosing safe and gentle products for your baby shouldn’t mean compromising on performance. We continue to research and innovate so we can exceed our goals as well as your expectations.
Our responsibility
We want to leave a healthy planet full of natural resources for our children and the generations after them. To help minimise our impact on the environment, ABENA, the manufacturer of Bambo Nature products, voluntarily undergoes strict environmental inspections of our products, from raw material collection to production, consumption and waste.
85.4% of the waste from our Danish production facility was recycled in 2019. The waste consists of, e.g. foil wrapping from raw materials and surplus textiles, which are collected and sold to recycling companies to be repurposed and transformed into new products.
Certifications
Promoting sustainability at every step
To create a sustainable society through sustainable consumerism, the Nordic Ecolabel evaluates the environmental impact of products throughout their entire life cycle—from raw material selection, to the manufacturing process, straight through to the disposal of the product.
The prestigious blue label honours allergy awareness
The Asthma & Allergy Association Denmark offers certification to products that pose the smallest possible risk of causing allergy, eczema or skin irritation to the user. Products that earn this certification must contain no fillers, perfumes or formaldehyde.
Rewarding responsible use of forest products
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Only businesses that meet each of the FSC’s 10 principles and associated criteria are considered for certification.
The mark of environmentally friendly cosmetics
ECOCERT, the first certification body for natural and organic cosmetics, ensures that products meet high environmentally friendly standards, straight from ingredients to packaging. Only products with a minimum of 95% naturally sourced ingredients by weight are eligible for certification.
Rewarding products that are gentle on the skin
Independent institutes consistently conduct dermatological tests on all our products. By testing subjects who are predisposed to atopic skin diseases such as eczema, we can ensure that even people with sensitive skin can use our products.
Bambo Nature takes extra care in always buying the best and most transparently sourced raw materials for our products. While we cannot guarantee the complete absence of small trace residue throughout the entire production process, we ABSOLUTELY guarantee that we do not add ANY harmful chemicals or allergens during production and that our products and raw materials have undergone the strictest certification processes available to guarantee your safety!
